Hello

            My name is Vijayalakshmi Ravi. Our clothing brand was created as a part of my Ph.D research program guided by Dr.R.SHEELA JOHN, HOD, Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Bishop Appasamy College of Art and Science. The project aims to provide better opportunities for livelihood for a primitive tribal group of Kurumba’s residents on the steep slopes of the Nilgiris in South India. Through this recent projects, TRIBECHO is teaching the Kurumba tribal group to produce materials with their traditional paintings as a means of preserving their art.
